A Twisted Ankle

Forget spraining it when I play soccer how about spraining it when I'm doing laundry. It hurt so bad this morning that I stayed home from church and I missed Greg's talk he gave :(

It felt like SPRING today.

I look forward to seeing more chalk drawings on my sidewalk. And I want those converse to be replace by flip flops. I want to open the windows to hear the birds and feel the breeze of fresh air. Today was that kind of day. The window was open for a bit. Unfortunately the converse where still on but it was warmer than usual. YEAH!!! And the sun didn't set til about 5:30

Oh Baby

Love this little one. He is so smiley and just one happy little thing. Love spending time with him...just cherishing the moments.

Bikes and a Teenager

Gabe was out fixing everyone's bikes today. Its been getting a little warmer and the sun is setting later...thats the part I am enjoying.

And then Ely is playing with her itouch and had the music on, she then turns it off to say "Hello" "Hi Mason" "Yes I can go on a date" "When do you want me to come over?" she was teeny bopping it today. It was fun to listen too. Oh, and do you love her hair? I hate it. I hate how those stupid bangs fall on her beautiful face but its how she likes it. I can't wait til she looks back on the photos and says "why did you do my hair like that?" and then I will just laugh and tell her it was all you bebe.

Snow...ugh!

But so fun for the kids. I love how Isaac has his snow boots on but his cool batman SWIMMING shorts...it all goes together so well.

Confessions of a Photographer

I assisted with Vanessa at a wedding today and it was just another confirmation as to why I don't do them. Its not about getting a good photo its about getting their on time and the right place for that matter...he he! Let me explain a little more in detail. It snowed today and it all came down about the time I was to drive. It was a parking lot a the point of the mountain and I only had about a mile to go to get my exit. Finally made it past all the accidents and I was off. I actually made it on time before they walked out the doors but that can be stressful if I was THE photographer.
Another time I was doing a favor for a friend and went to the Timpanogos Temple...I'm waiting and realizing I don't know anyone and the room was empty...besides the 3 other people waiting. I run out to my car to get my phone and make a call...it was then I realized it was the Salt Lake Temple. It was snowing and there was no way I would make it on time...I missed it.
Wanna hear another time? I was heading up to my friend Brooke's wedding and again I hit traffic...in my case its usually a parking lot...missed her ceremony.
So, its not in my cards to shoot weddings.

Life with Mom

This photo a day is consuming. The reason I did this was to think about how I can tell a story thru a photo...what I did for the day. I think my theme will be "Life with Mom"and so, that will call for more self portraits.

Sunday Nap

We have church at 9 I don't like it but what I do like is a good Sunday nap. I had a LONG on too.

I purchased an ABC app for the iTouch and while it was downloading I went to make some waffles, I come back and Isaac had purchased 4 other apps! I asked him "why" and he said without hesitating, "I want more games."
So, the reason I purchased this ap was because cute little Issac can't say his ABC's nor can he tell me what a letter is but then later on today I find him writing his name in a book. What the heck he does know the letters and he can write out his name. It's so BOY.

Connection

Daddy is her superhero. She looks up to him so much. Their bond is so special that she feels safe enough to express her feelings with him. I am grateful that she has this CONNECTION.

Work

This is my work space. You see the computer that's one its my old one and the new one...is the t.v. it still waits for me to get it all ready. Its almost there I updated the operating system downloaded photo shop and now I just need to transfer my files and then its all mine.

A Salon Day

We did a full day of beauty. My hair is trimmed and colored and the girls got some highlights. I had this idea to get shots while we were relaxing but forgot the card....ugh! After we got beautified we went to spend some time at Jump On It...so FUN!!!!! And yes forgot the card there too.

Dr. Suess

Its Sunday morning. Beckam and I are the only ones awake so, it seemed to be the perfect to read a book. I love these Dr. Suess books especially the Oh, the Thinks you can Think...so creative.

Crackers and Milk

What brings me so much meaning to this photo?
He has to stand on the chair to eat.
He even started to dance for the photo.
This food is one of the select few that he will eat.
All the dishes in the background that need to be washed.
And my flowers that I got from my wonderful husband.

Oh how small.

Looking at the world as a child.
Its hard to reach for things like a cup for a drink or to even turn on the water in the sink, brushing teeth has got to be a pain to....that's what this ladder is for.

The after math of a long night is SWEET!

This is a shot of the sweetness from the long nights that this little guy can give us. It is getting better but he has to throw in the "I'm not eating today" so then mom worries about him getting enough food...after he cries for 2 hours we gave in and got him up.

Up all Night

What I love about this photo is how he is holding onto daddy's arm. He uses his hands a lot, mostly in his mouth or Issac is trying to hold them.
So, this little guy was born with his days and night switched. He would sleep perfectly during the day and then night came around he would be wide awake. It has been this way for about 5 months and until just recently, with the go ahead of my doctor, I have him crying thru some of the many times he wakes up. And last night was a long cry, we gave in and got him out of bed. He is actually doing a thousand times better...we are getting sleep!

Icicle

Well this photo is a lack of not being prepared. This week I will shoot ice for the 52 week project. This shot is in that attempt to get the one I want. Since I was prepared I am going this one.

I did a million errands today that's why I didn't put much thought into it.

Wedding

I don't do weddings anymore but I received a phone call on Thursday and Shelly asked if I could shoot her wedding for this coming Saturday? Her photographer had double booked and she was desperate. I told her that I was booked/busy already but if she couldn't find anyone else that she could call me back. Well, the next day I got another phone call from her, after her attempt of calling 50 people she said, she still needed one.
It was so fun and I'm glad I was able to help her out and I couldn't have done it without my wonderful family.

Root Canal

I spent most of my day in the dentist chair.
Hated it!
It hurt and I felt a lot of pain.
Who feels bad for me?!

I had the apt @ 12:00 it was scheduled for an hour, 3 hours later I was done. Then I had a babysitter lined up for 3:00 to go the temple but I was still at my apt. Finally made it home and made it to the temple a 4:30 and did sealings, and while there I almost passed out. Ha, fun stuff! But I'm all good now.

Studio

You see my camera on the tripod there? It was prepped to be used for recording and so I thought I couldn't use it therefore, I was out of a camera...not so my friends I have another one...duh!

Excersize

Yes, I like to excersize. I really do enjoy how it makes me feel but sometimes it's hard to do.

Growing

This little guy is growing so fast....he is already 5 months old, sitting up and rolling over. He just recently had a well check and he weighs 17 lbs. 72% on his weight 38% on his height and his head is 34%. So in all, he is short and fat but I just can't get enough of those chubby thighs.

Big Sis

The kids had to walk home from school today because I didn't have a car to pick them up. Gabe made it home in like 10 min and then Bryn comes running in about the 30 min later but had to make a mad dash to the bathroom, while Elyse is still walking. Bryn heads back out to get her but stops to tell me she gave Elyse her boots because her shoes kept falling off. So, Bryn ran home in the snow without shoes. How sweet is that?

Night Scene

I am starting out this year with a challenge to take a photo a day for 365 days. WOW! How cool is that? So, to start off the year here is a Night photo I took.

It is one of the words on my list (52 week photo challenge for the year). I went driving around finding the perfect shot and I came up with 3...just couldn't narrow it down.

btw it was freezing when I went out on this excursion...my toes where so cold.
